TWELVE PROBABLE STARTERS Lesser Lights Among Kings Plate Eligible s Fall by Wayside — Froth Blower Choice. TORONTO, Ont., May 21. — There does not seem much possibility of any more than a dozen horses starting in the Kings Plate Saturday. The reason so many are dropping day by day is quite evident. A few of the outstanding candidates have set such a tough pace in training that owners of lesser lights realize they would gain nothing by starting, except the satisfaction of seeing their colors in action, while jeopardizing their chance of winning less exacting races later. The Kings Plate has set back many a horse that was not quite up to such a race. Those considered probable starters at this time are the Thorncliffe Stables Bronze, Oilrite and Fess; Seagram Stables Freethinker and Golader or Mythical Lore; R. W. R. Cowies Froth Blower; W. H. Wrights Kirkland Post, and, possibly, Jean ODoon; J. C. Fletchers Pampered Pet or Gimme Girl; R. H. News Par Excellence; R. S. McLaughlins Sky Gazer and the Upland Farms Vestip. The Thorncliffe Stable is almost sure to have the biggest representation, all three candidates naving earned their chance to start in the race. Trainer Bringloe would not admit on Thursday a final decision as to the Seagram Stables representation, but Freethinker will, of course, start, and J. D. Mooney has the mount. He will have one running mate, at least, and Golader is considered the most likely choice. Paul Mc-Ginnis will ride one of the entries. Mr. Cowies plans have been known from the very first. Frank Mann will ride Froth Blower, and no horse in the race is assured of a better ride than the favorite will receive.
