r CLAIMS AND SALES t £ _ 4 H. Jacobs claimed Recompense out of the first race at Belmont Wednesday from the Rancocas Stable for ,000. W. Z Martin this morning purcha~ed the mate Pink Blossom from the Paradise Stock Farm at Aurora. He intends racing her this summer and then retiring her as a brood mare. A. K. Miller, acting for M. C. Rush at Aurora, this morning purchased Lady Messenger from the E. B. McLean stable at private terms. H. T. Fleming, acting for the King Bruce Stable, at Aurora, sold the chestnut gelding Fasciste, to R. Epstein. E. L. Goode will train him.
