LEADS AMERICAN BREEDERS Audley Farm Stnd Again Tops List in Number of Races Won. Whitney-Bred Horses Win Most Money for Sixth Consecutive Year Total of 583,020 for 1931. Horses bred at the Audley Farm in Virginia won the largest number of races in 1931, while those representing the noted nurseries of the late H. P. Whitney in Kentucky and New Jersey won the most money. It was the second year in succession for the Audley Farm to head the breeders list from the standpoint of races won, while the Whitney-bred horses have won the most money for the last six consecutive, years. The Audley Farm horses won 359 races in 1931, a goodly gain over 318 in 1930. The Him-yar Stud was second with 348, H. P. Whitney third with 264, and A. B. Hancock had 245, W. S. Wilmer 212, Nevada Stock Farm 194, Baron Long 173, H. F. Sinclair 165, B. A. Jones 132, W. R. Coe 131, following in the order named. In monetary returns the Whitney-bred Horses won 83,020 in 1931, bringing the total to the credit of the Whitney breeding farms for the last six years to over ,000,-000. The Audley Farm was second in money won, the produce of that establishment accounting for 50,738 in 1931. The Greentree Stable Stud Farm is next with 05,371. Then follow W. S. Kilmer, 46,089; Himyar Stud, 20,825; A. B. Hancock, 77,137; W. R. Coe, 66,520; A. C. Bostwick, 2,275; H. F. Sinclair, 87,257; J. E. Widener, 74,780.
