CHANCE FOR STEEPLECHASERS AGUA CALIENTE, Mexico, Jan. 14 Because of the fact that the steeplechase course at Agua Caliente is not quite ready and there are many jumping horses and riders on the grounds, the management has decided to give a series of races on the flat before the official opening of the field to give animals and jockeys a chance. One such highweight race was run recently and more are to follow. It is expected that it will be ten days or more before a race will be given over the hurdles.
