PURSE AWARDED TO BRINKLEY NEW ORLEANS, La., Jan. 25 W. J. Marlman, acting for Mrs. W. J. Marlman, protested the purse won by Eighty Twenty at Jefferson Park Saturday, and after due investigation it was allowed. An allowance of three pounds, to which he was not entitled, was claimed for Eighty Twenty. In disqualifying Eighty Twenty, betting on the race was not affected, but first money was awarded to Brinkley, second to Eugene OSullivan, third to Harold Ormont and fourth to Fiala.
