OLD BILLS OWNER DEAD NEW ORLEANS, La., Feb. 23 Mrs. Winifred Bailey Holmes, wife of Dr. L. Morey Holmes and owner of a small stable of horses, died yesterday several hours after her Old Bill won the second race at the Fair Grounds. Mrs. Holmes was a native of New Orleans and died at a local hospital following a comparatively short illness. She was beloved by all of the racing fraternity and was a regular visitor at both Jefferson; Park and Fair Grounds for many years. She was in her fifty-eighth year. Final services were held this morning, and interment wag " private."
