DERBY ELIGIBLES WORKOUTS NEW ORLEANS, La., March 3. Two Louisiana Derby candidates, E. R. Bradleys Bertjohn and the Peconic Stables On Sir, turned in the fastest mile trials of the morning on a fast track at the Fair Grounds today. The former went the distance in 1:43, handily, and the latter, a recent arrival from Miami, circled the course in 1:42, handily, and in most impressive fashion. Bengal Tiger, another Derby eligible in the Bradley barn, breezed three-eighths in :38 and worked from the starting gate.
