BUNTING LAD saved ground, showed speed and held on well. WHITE TOES closed resolutely. DESERT BOY, a factor throughout, bore out when tiring. AUSTERE had no mishaps. RED VEST lost ground all the way. LITTLE MARCELLE quit after showing speed for a half mile. LAMPOON was always outrun. TRANSFORMATION raced into the lead with a rush, held on well under a poor ride and was lucky to escape decisive defeat. SANTA SOPHIA closed resolutely. BY PRODUCT, well ridden, had no mishaps.
