CHANGE TAX PLAN LEXINGTON, Ky., May 3.— When Senator Alben W. Barkley reached Kentucky from Washington this morning he brought the information that the Senate commissions proposal to impose a tax of 10 per cent on pari-mutuel betting would not get far. During the afternoon a wire was received from Washington that the committee had changed its plan and would impose a tax of 25 per cent on each admission ticket to race tcacks instead. There had been a meeting of the directors of the Lexington board of commerce last Saturday night to voice a protest of business men, breeders and farmers in the Blue Grass region. There will hardly be an objection to the changed plan.
