LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 3.— A field of at least fifteen three-year-olds is expected to start in the fifty-eighth annual 0,000 added Kentucky Derby, to be run at the historic Churchill Downs course here Saturday. Fifteen very probable participants were well assured with the arrival today of Lucky Tom, J. J. Robinsons Louisiana and Jefferson Derby winners, and Robert W. Daniels Brandon Mint, among the more successful in his division during the present eastern season. Lucky Tom and Brandon Mint brought i the number of eastern candidates to seven and eight westerners round out the probable field. Other invaders are the Loma Stables Tick On, favorite for the premier turf feature; T. M. Cassidys Universe, successful in the Wood Memorial Stakes at Jamaica Saturday; Mrs. John Hay Whitneys Stepenfetchit and Over Time, second and third, respectively, in the Chesapeake Stakes renewal at Havre de Grace Saturday, and J. H. Louch-heims Economic, second to Universe in the Wood. The West will be represented by Col. E. R. Bradleys Brother Joe and Burgoo King, Charles T. Fishers Cee Tee, R. M. Eastmans Cathop, Norman W. Churchs Gallant Sir, W. T. Waggoners Liberty Limited, Prince Hotspur, owned by the estate of Joseph Leiter, and J. W. Parrishs Cold Check, with the possibility of an additional starter from among Mrs. W. T. Andersons Cabezo, J. B. Respess Our Fancy, and A. B. Letelliers Sazerac. Final decision anent the Derby status of the latter trio is expected within the next twenty-four hours. They were among the starters in the Mile Preparation Purse today.
