AURORA TURF NOTES k $ Jockey J. Hlad, under contract to E. Lutz, was an arrival from New Orleans and accepted his first mount today. Jockey Jimmy McCoy, who performed well on Chicago tracks last season, got off to a good start when he rode three winners opening day. McCoy was one of the first boys to resort to the use of goggles, which equipment has since been adopted by other riders. Jockey Bobby Jones, leading rider on Chicago tracks last summer, will try his luck at the same circuit again this season. He is now riding at Tanforan, but will be among those present at Washington Park opening day. Sherab, a gray colt, the property of Chap-pell Bros, of Rockford, 111., had his first workout over the Exposition Park track this morning. The three-year-old, for which a high price was paid last season, went a handy six furlongs in 1:16%. Trieze, former good mud runner, which went West some years back to try for the Agua Caliente Handicap, is rounding to. form after a long period of idleness.
