BALLY BAY came-over sharply leaving the back stretch, went into a safe lead in the first eighth and held sway thereafter. PRECIOUS DOLLAR, closest to the winner from the start, held on well. SEEMEGO, forced to race on the outside after meeting early interference, closed fast when clear. NEW SUN, badly crowded soon after the start, was unable to reach the leaders. GLANEUR jumped well and, taking command momentarily from THISTLE JOHN after the thirteenth fence, lost the lead near the final jump but wore down QUEENS PAL en the flat. QUEENS PAL went to the leaders with a rush after a mile, took command at the final fence, but was weakly handled after swerving badly. BILLYCOCK improved his position steadily from a slow start! JACK WHITTIER raced forwardly ail the wav. SAVANOLA fell back when W. Passmore lost a stirrup iron, which was regained later. THISTLE JOHN tired badly in the closing half mile. PEGGS PRIDE wheeled off the course at the start. KHYBER PASS fell at the tenth obstacle. CHANNTNG L. refused to go along with the others. TRIMMER, hard urged, took a short lead entering the stretch and, responding gamely to punishment, outlasted MOON BLINK. The latter, also hard urged, crowded over on the others leaving the back stretch, took a short lead, saved ground and held on stubbornly. PRINCE WESTEND showed a good performance. GRACIAS was in close quarters early. BROADWAY SUN was pinched back after the first eighth. DR. YATES was crowded badly and lost his rider before going an eighth.
