• I ! j I j j i ! LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Gilbert Elston made a big gain on J. Gilbert last week by riding seven winners, moving up within nine winners of the leader. J. McLarens nine winners was nigh for the week, with R. Martin right behind him with eight. Gilberts big lead stood him in good stead during the week of idleness.
