, 1 , i 1 | I ] 1 . i SUNTICAS NEXT OBJECTIVE To Meet Top Flight and Evening in Illinois Oaks at Washington Park on June 4. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 24.— Suntica, which carried Willis S. Kilmers colors to their first victory in the Kentucky Oaks, will have as her next objective the Illinois Oaks at Washington Park Saturday, June 4. The daughter of Sun Briar and Simpatica was shipped to the Homewood course last night, after trainer John Whyte had been instructed by owner Kilmer to send the filly to Chicago instead of returning her to New York: It first was the intention of owner Kilmer to have Suntica returned East and she was slated to depart for Belmont Park via her owners farm at Binghamton, N. Y., but after she won the stake, at a mile and a furlong, in impressive style, owner Kilmer immediately called trainer Whyte and instructed him to send the filly to Washington Park. "I was certainly pleased with Sunticas victory, although I believed that Princess Camelia would be troublesome. Of course, she will have to improve a whole lot if she wins the Illinois Oaks, for Tom Healey, the trainer of C. V. Whitneys Top Flight, and Jack Joyner, who trains Evening for George Widener, informed me recently that the two fillies would be shipped West for the Washington Park race. Suntica is a great little filly and although they told me that in the event of a muddy track I Say and Depression would be more troublesome, Mr. Kilmers filly also likes the mud, but at that time I am glad the track was fast, for she ran a good mile and a furlong," said trainer Whyte. - ■*■
