tl tl h n e . w g ii g r; h is is f b be . a - DENY 00 BOND RUMOR MONTREAL, Que., May 24.— Officials of the Kings Park Jockey Club, where Montreals long racing season begins May 28, have been busy of late explaining away a mysterious rumor in circulation to the effect that incoming American horsemen were this year required to post a bond or guarantee of 00. There is, of course, nothing in the story, but it appears to have gained general circulation in United States racing circles, and has in some degree hampered the shipment of horses here. It announced at Kings Park that the races for two-year-olds at the May meeting will reduced to four furlongs, instead of four and a half, as booked.
