GLOAMINGS TRAINER DEAD R. J. Mason, the New Zealand trainer, died at Wellington exactly one week after the death of the famous race horse, Gloam- . ing, which horse he trained for all his races. He considered the unsexed son of The Wei- . kin the fastest horse he ever saddled. Trainer Mason, who had reached the ripe age of seventy-nine, was considered the greatest conditioner of race horses in -Australasia.
