Leroy King telegraphed racing secretary Schaumberg offering a reward of ,000 for the arrest and conviction of the miscreants who were responsible for the "sponging" of his horse Panetian Sunday night. The case, which was turned over to the Pinkerton Detective Agency, has developed several leads which are under investigation, but that organization refused to make public any information.
