f HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES Jockey H. W. Fisher reported, sick at the jockeys room and cancelled his mount on Vonair in the second race. Trainer R. Scoville was an arrival from Thistle Down with the "horse Ed Reese. He also brought along apprentice L. Hendricks. T. Keezek arrived from Thistle Down with the two-year-olds -Pana "Franka and San-terno. Jockey T. P.- Martin, one of the leading apprentice riders at the meeting, was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for rough riding aboard Zida in the eighth race Monday. The Shandon Farms Minton, an eligible for the Governors Derby at Springfield next Saturday, displayed amazing speed at Hawthorne Tuesday morning, covering a mile in 1:39. Cathop, another Governors Derby eligible, worked a mile in 1:41. The speedy Polydorus is right at the peak of hhi rm judging by his fast gallop Tuesday morning, a mile in 1:40.- This good son of Fxiar Rock has won nine races out oi sixteen starts this year, being unplaced but four times. Owners are requested to send in their badge lists for Lincoln Fields as soon as possible to avoid delay. Trainer G. Brooks suffered a painful injury to his foot Tuesday morning when a horse which he was handling at the gate stepped on him.
