FUGITIVES MEADOWBROOK CUP NEW YORK, N. Y., Sept. 27. T. W. Du-rants Fugitive, ridden by Randolph Duff ey, accounted for the thirty-fourth running of the Meadowbrook Cup, which was decided Saturday morning over the estate of F. Ambrose Clark at Wheatley Hills. The winner showed the way to Benjamin L. Bohrs Brose Hover, ridden by Frank Bonsai, while Royal Earn, ridden by James Ryan and racing for Richard K. Mellon, was third. The race was a steeplechase for four-year-olds, and over the three and one-half miles hunting course. The Wheatley Hills Cup, which also was down for decision, witnessed a handy score for Mrs. Gwladys Whitneys Honker, ridden by W. Streett, over Alvin Untermeyers Drapeau.
