CONSIDERATE drew into a clear lead midway of the turn, came out into the firmer footing and hold on well when overtaken. PRINCE ABBOT, a slow starter, reached contention fast, but tired. STANDOUT was unable to get up. BODKIN closed a big gap. POSTPONEMENT tired after five-eighths. FETCH and PARADE REST quit. BOBBING, hard urged, raced evenly after" the first eighth. GOLDEN SHIP, sluggish and outrun early, closed well. DOUBTLESS closed a big gap. SWEET CHARIOT did not appear to "favor the going. SEMAPHORE overcame interference on the first turn and challenged gamely entering the stretch, but tired. Coucci made a claim of foul, which was disallowed. BIG BEAU "finished fast.
