LINCOLN FIELDS NOTES 4 . : i The many friends of George Archibald, noted steeplechase rider of other days, regretted to hear of the death of his wife last week. Mrs. Archibald was the sister of another well known rider, Tom McHugh. Friend Charley, winner of his last eight engagements; Mrs. Foster, and All Forlorn, owned by Jewell Brothers, arrived here Thursday morning from Fairmount Park. M. D. Livingston has. taken over Dollar Princess and Run On to train for Miss L. Hoffman. The program for the Stuyvesant Peabody stable has been changed and instead of shipping to Latonia, trainer Robert McGar-vey will go into winter quarters at the Peabody farm, where teir yearlings await early lessons. A car of horses reached Sportsmans Park unloading chute from Fairmount Park Thursday morning. D. McDermid and others were represented in the shipment. Jockey Johnny Leyland leaves Saturday for Maryland and will ride at Laurel Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Linderberger, of Louisville, were among the club house visitors. Mr. Lindenberger is identified with Churchill Downs, Inc. Larry Boganschutz is accepting, stable applications for Latonia from among the horsemen at Lincoln Fields. Early applicants included A."L. Ferguson, J. O. Keene, I. Kort, B. B. Williams, H. Neusteter, J. McGee, F. F. Brant, D. R. Riddle, J. M. Hizar and others.
