WHITBY LAD, a factor all the way, was unable to keep up with the winner. BECAUTIOUS saved ground in the stretch. CORSINAX began fast, but tired. TANNIA showed early speed, then tired. EASTER DANDY was rushed up fast, took command in the stretch, but did not withstand the winner. KEBBIE showed good speed for five-eighths. BRAVE ALONZO closed a gap. GOLADER showed early speed. LADY McNEILL raced well for three-eighths. CHASTE MORN was away poorly. CAPTAIN SOMERS jumped well and closed gamely. FORBIS could not improve his position when called upon. GLANEUR landed badly at the eleventh fence, recovered gamely, but lost his rider at the fourteenth. RED RONALD saved ground at the stretch turn and finished with good courage. BALTIMORE made up soma ground. FIRE BRIGADE showed good early speed, but faltered when the real racing began.
