COL. W. S. DUDLEY DEAD LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 29 Col. W. S. Dudley, owner of Monks Way and a band of good mares at Sunny Hill Farm, Millers-burg, Ky., died last midnight in his apartment at Lafayette Hotel, the result of a stroke of paralysis following prolonged illness with heart disease. Colonel Dudley was born April 22, 1864, in Fleming County, and came from pioneer Kentucky and Virginia stock. He was a noted show ring rider as a boy; made money buying and selling horses and tobacco and became a great factor in the coal industry, being the president of the Kentucky River Coal Corporation and other coal companies at the time of his death. He was never married. He is survived by one brother and four sisters. Fur neral and interment will be at his old home, Carlisle, Ky., Friday morning at 11 oclock.
