HALF SAINT was unable to improve his position under urging. VOLWOOD went along in the first division, but was not good enough. ALTUS NUBA was outrun. EN PASSANT raced wide throughout. NEW SUN showed little. RISNEUR began very slowly. ARGONAUTE II. raced restrained for a mile and. taking an easy lead going to the twelfth fence, drew away easily thereafter. QUICK MARCH raced FORAY into early defeat and fell back going to the eighth fence; was hard urged and proved best of the others. LIGHT PLUME, badly outpaced for a turn of the field, moved up gamely going to the eleventh jump and finished gamely. MIRTON dropped far back early. ME-LITA was outrun. FORAY tired badly. AFLOAT quit. EGAD lost his rider at the last fence. BOUNDLESS DEEP showed good speed, but lost his rider at the tenth fence. SID was pulled up at the ninth jump. FINE FIBRE improved her position on the" inside. POMPALO got up in the stretch, then tired. SUE JONES was done after half a mile. PERNICKETY was never a factor. SUGAR CAKE was outrun. UNENCUMBERED, closest to the winner, showed a good performance.. PENCADER, under pressura on the back stretch, could not overtake the leaders. ALL ROWES tired in the last sixteenth. DELICACY moved up fast entering the stretch, but could not make up ground thereafter. PAULA L. finished resolutely. SWEET SCENT tired early and was worked out a mile.
