1 FAIRMOUNT TURF NOTES and : Steve Toth, young apprentice from Cleveland, Ohio, and under contract to P.. H. Aichele, accepted his first mount of the meeting on Balthasar in the fifth race. William Phillips, who serves as patrol judge on the Kentucky tracks of the Ameri can Turf Association, was a visitor. He is en route to Latonia from New Orleans. Robert S.. Eddy, Jr., general manager at Jefferson Park,- is notifying horsemen not to ship to Jefferson Park unless they have confirmation of stable allotment. Jockey Dent Smith, who is riding in good form here, will depart for Latonia in time for the opening there October 12. William Curran got away for Sportsmans Park with two horses, and Edward McCuan will send sixteen there. In the McCuan shipment will be two, the property of the Blue Star Stable, while A. J. Pershall will remain here with sixteen of the Blue Star Stable until the close, of the meeting. I. B. Bradf ield turned oyer Sand Fiddler to L.. V., Bellew, Jr., to train and he will accompany the Bellew shipment to. Latonia
