REMARKABLE TRAINING FEAT Special Correspondence. LONDON, England. In saddling four of the first five horses to finish in the St. Leger Stakes at Doncaster recently, trainer Frank Butters came close to equaling the record made in 1822 by James Croft, who saddled the first four horses in the same classic, winning the race for Mr. Petre with the 100 to 1 shot Theodore. But it is a record for the Aga Khan to have four horses finish among the first five in an English classic. His Dastur, which finished second in the St. Leger, also was runner-up in the Two Thousand Guineas, Derby and St. Leger, triple-crown ill-luck that had seldom been suffered. Butters saddled a previous St. Leger winner, as he trained Lord Derbys Fairway in 1928. The Aga Khan, who insisted on Firdaussi winning in the St Leger, previously won the race with Salmon Trout in 1924.
