" I PIMLICO TURF NOTES ; S Dr. J. Fred Adams has shipped Rehoboth, three-year-old brown son of Sun Briar, to Latonia, where he will be started in the Latonia Cup Saturday. Dr. Adams plans to leave Friday for that course. In the meantime, he is endeavoring to get R. Finnerty, a western rider, to handle his colt in the week-end stakes. During the past summer a new road for Washington motorists was built, thus giving the old road leading into Defense Highway over to Baltimore motorists. Motorists can also reach Bowie by using Washington Boulevard to Laurel, where they turn, left and use a new state road which has just been completed. Track superintendent Richard Pending has cleared away twelve acres of .land near the Bowie track for parking space. This will permit 10,000 automobiles to be parked on track property. Following a conference Monday night, pari-mutuel manager Mortimer A. Ma-honey and racing secretary Joseph McLennan departed for Miami. McLennan will return in time to take up his duties at Bowie. At the conclusion of this meeting, Johnny Kermath will ship Miss Becky Laniers steeplechasers to the second annual meeting at Llangollen, the estate of Mr. and Mrs. John Hay Whitney at Qpperville, Va. Frank J. Bryan is accepting nominations for the races to be run there. Jockey Freddie Stevens was an arrival from New York. Joe OMalley motored in from Chicago. The severe rain storm which broke last night turned the racing strip into a quagmire. It will be several days" before the water can be ironed out of the course. However, track superintendent John Ryan hopes to have it. back at top shape for the 0,000 Futurity on Saturday. L. B. Councill sold Sunvir at private term3 to Herbert E. Simpson. Paul Codd, of Baltimore, will continue to train the gelding. Prince T Toronto, The Tout, Fixit, Floor Walker and Revelation have been added to the schooling list. The United Hunts Association will ship free a carload of horses from here to Belmont Park on Saturday. Wm. Doyle, patrol judge here, is handling the shipment. The shipment will" be returned here gratis at the conclusion of the New York meeting.
