NEWSHAWK showed speed, but tired badly. CHAUVENET began slowly. PAPER PROFITS showed speed, saved ground after taking the lead and held on gamely. SALLIE GRAY closed a gap in the stretch. BETTY WEE ran out badly on the stretch turn. The latter, hustled along from the start, took a big advantage on the turn, but slowly eave way to the winner in the stretch. GRAND PRINCE raced well. NOAHS PRIDE lost ground. TRAITOR held on well. VOLTINA forced the pace, took command with a rush and tired in the closing eighth. THISTLE WISE saved ground when closing a gap in the stretch. BOB DOZER also saved ground in the stretch. OTTIE M. was forced wide on the stretch turn. MISSIE showed speed, bore out badly on the stretch turn and tired. YARNALLTON was also forced wide and quit in the stretch. SCORE was outrun.
