Won driving ; second and third easily. CHIMNEY TOP, a factor all the way, raced gamely in the stretch and, wearing down PROSPECT PARK in the stretch, won in a hard drive. The latter, rushed up fast on the outside, showed good speed, but tired at the end. CORK SCREW showed good form and outlasted SGT. BYRNE. The latter raced for-wardly for half a mile. CABEZO responded to pressure in the stretch and outgamed DARK SEEKER. The latter tired at the finish. CONDESCEND was not punished when he quit. The latter drew away into a safe lead, saved ground and, shaking off QUEL JEU, held on gamely. POMPEIUS, on the inside all the way, saved ground and finished well. QUEL JEU, closest to the early pace, quit in the final eighth. CURACAO and SUN MISSION were outrun.
