" WISE DREAM, rushed into the lead at the start, shook off MISS UNIVERSE when the latter bore out and, taking a clear lead to the last sixteenth, tired thereafter. WAHMI had no mishaps. MISS UNIVERSE moved up fast on the turn and was on even terms with the leader when she bore out badly. THUNDER LOU was done after three-eighths. NOREDA raced green. The latter, racing improved, was a factor throughout, challenged gamely, but was overmatched. FIREFLASH forced the early pace, was supplanted by MOANE KEALA and raced evenly thereafter. KIBITZER showed good form. BUZZY BOO failed to improve her position under pressure. HALF DAY was left at the post.
