MANY STALL APPLICATIONS Ottawa and Montreal Tracks As ¬ sured of Plenty of Horses for Coming Meetings MONTREAL Que May 15 Two stables which played a prominent part in racing on the circuit of the Quebec Racing Asso ¬ ciation last summer will be back here for the opening fourteenday meeting at Blue Bonnets on June 2 according to advices re ¬ ceived today at the offices of the Montreal Jockey Club ClubFrom From Dallas Texas came word that Owen Pons and R Scotty Robertson both fa ¬ miliar figures on this circuit are returning Robertson was prominent here last year with the smart twoyearold Aquatis and also had Westys Fox a fleet sprinter the smart threeyearold New Sun which was an early favorite for the Quebec Derby Wanderoo and Dorsays He will bring here with him a string of ten including the good campaigner Lynx Eye Pons has a string of half a dozen platers platersThere There are over fifty applications for sta ¬ bling at the offices of the four tracks which this season will stage fiftysix days of con ¬ tinuous racing at Montreal and Ottawa It is evident that the extension of meetings to fourteen days will prove instrumental in lessening the shipping expenses for owners and having a marked effect in attracting horsemen here The inquiries as to purses and dates come from Windsor Detroit Toronto New York and other racing points di dif diicials ° f icials of the circuit are now confident that there will be plenty of horses here to open the circuit in June
