BLUE BONNETS MEETING ENDS Count Bruno Scores Fourth Straight StraightVictory Victory to Carry Off x Quebec QuebecKings Kings Plate Days Feature MONTREAL Que June 18 The twenty seventh running of the Quebec Kings Plate feature offering on the closing days pro ¬ gram of xthe Montreal Jockey Club brought together four province breds all sired by Cudgel which stands in Quebec at the farm of J Cattarinich They met at the mile and a quarter route for a purse of 700 and fifty guineas a gift of His Majesty the King The feature was run as an added attraction and was a nonbetting affair affairCount Count Bruno racing for H D Hekkema repeated his previous performances of the meeting and registered his fourth straight victory in easy fashion Sir Michael racing for E Bowie took second place a half length before J Cattarinichs Loggia LoggiaFrom From a perfect start Loggia sprinted into the lead followed by Baton DAmour with Count Bruno third and Sir Michael trailing In the run through the back stretch Count Bruno moved into second place under re ¬ straint Approaching the stretch turn Fator released his hold on the Hekkema color bearer and wore down Loggia at the turn into the stretch and drew out in the closing furlong to have a five lengths margin at the end Sir Michael a trailer early caught the tiring Loggia in the stretch run to fin ¬ ish in second place placeA A large crowd was on hand to enjoy the closing days sport Weather conditions were all that could be desired The track was fast but very deep through the stretch which has been a condition at Blue Bonnets for some time
