BEST RIDERS COMING HERE Outstanding Jockeys of Country to toDon Don Silks at Arlington Park ParkDuring During 30 Day Meeting As in former years patrons of Arlington Park will be privileged during the thirty days of racing commencing a week from yesterday to see in action the nations great ¬ est jockeys who will assemble at the north side course with their stables from East and West The large host of eastern riders coming to Chicago for the Arlington meeting will be led by Mack Garner who at the age of 34 is enjoying his most successful season as he pilots such stars as Cavalcade High Quest Good Goods Time Clock Psychic Bid and Okapi for Mrs Isabel Dodge Sloanes Brook meade Stable StableGarner Garner enjoys an enviable record insofar as Arlington Park is concerned as he has ridden oyer the course three times in the past winning the Classic with Blue Lark ¬ spur and finishing second in the event last year with Golden Way He also landed Mor fair in second place in the Post and Paddock Stakes captured by Burning Blaze The lat ¬ ter event is now the Arlington Futurity This season will mark the first time the veteran saddle artist will see regular activ ¬ ity at the north side track trackSilvio Silvio Coucci who has ridden brilliantly the past two years at Arlington once again will pursue his profession here during July The Greentree Stable jockey is now ac ¬ counted by many critics as the greatest rider in the country and most of the credit for Ladysmans recent nose victory over Equipoise in the Suburban Handicap was given the Italian lad He has been engaged to guide Ladysman in both the Stars and Stripes Handicap arid Arlington Handicap the two 10000 distance specials on the Ar ¬ lington program programDon Don Meade under contract to Col Edward R Bradley and Wayne Wright associated with the Joseph E Widener stable are among the more prominent riders of recent development who will be seen in frequent work at Arlington Wright is well known to Chicago fans due to his brilliant work here last summer but Meade has had but few mounts on the local circuit and those at the north side course He has come to be known as Long Shot Don by the racing enthusiasts of New York and Maryland Among the leading veterans of the east ¬ ern jockey brigade soon coming here and their employers are Raymond Sonny Workman C V Whitney Pete Walls Wil ¬ lis Sharpe Kilmer Bobby Jones Mrs John Hay Whitney Charles Kurtsinger Wheatley Stable Lee Humphries Warm Stable John Joe Bejshak Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt Jimmy Burke S W Labrot and Earl Stef fen Mrs John Hertz HertzArrayed Arrayed against the eastern experts will be such flashy western jockeys as Charlie Corbett under contract to Jack Howard L Balaski employed by W Sachsenmaier Wil ¬ lie Hanka Howard Oots Johnny Kacala Audley Farm Les Pichon Milky Way Farms Stable Paul Keester and Eddie Arcaro C E Davison M Winters Calumet Farm Allen Tipton G W Ogle and Jack West rope T C Worden
