MOTOR CITY STAKES TODAY Try Sympathy Gets Another Opportunity to Add to Brilliant Record for 1934. DETROIT, Mich., July 6.— Try Sympathy, Mrs. Willis Sharpe Kilmers sterling son of Tryster, which scored in impressive fashion over a field of leading two-year-olds in last Saturdays renewal of the Hyde Park Stakes, again has an opportunity of adding another stake to his brilliant record. In tomorrows Motor City Stakes, which carries ,500 in added money, and will be decided over five and one-half furlongs, the feature of the Fair Grounds program, the Kilmer youngster meets nine others, including Sun Erin, a stablemate and winner at his first asking here. Try Sympathy carries top weight of 122 pounds, which calls on him to concede from five to thirteen pounds to his opponents. Although in his previous efforts he has clearly demonstrated that he is a juvenile of the first flight, in Saturdays engagement he meets several youngsters that have creditable records. The Widener-bred St. Moritz, which has won three races; Caskey and Bucks Harold H., a double winner; First Entry, one of the leaders of Kentucky racing, and Flying Wood will match strides with Try Sympathy for the first time. The Motor City Stakes will be the third race of an eight-race card, the first of which goes postward at 2:15 oclock.
