1 ARLINGTON PARK NOTES J * — -— — ® Max Hirsch was an arrival from New York to saddle Good Gamble in the Lassie Stakes. The stewards have ordered that Strait Jackets entry be refused for races over the turf. Strait Jacket bolted off the course earlier in the week. The entry of Honest Ben also will be refused on the grounds that he is unfit to race. Ten horses arrived from Latonia Friday, seven in charge of G. W. Sparks and three belonging to Jesse Spencer. Trainer A. Horton brought Rubans Choice and Nepesta from Fairmount Park. Dave Shaw owns Nepesta. C. E. Gross is shipping Proposing, Sizzling and High Clover to Detroit Sunday. Jockey Alcee Richard returned from Latonia, where he won with Maxine P. Thursday. . Jockey L. Humphries arrived from New York to guide Mid Victorian in the Lassie. He had the mount on Lackey in the fourth race Friday. Jockey F. Hernandez received a discolored L eye when he .was struck by a dirt clod during the running of the third race Thursday, in which he rode Marks Girl. He will be I out of the saddle for several days.
