MITIGATOR, never far from the early pace, came around the field while rounding the stretch turn, and, under a hard drive, got up in the last seventy yards to win going away. LA REINA came with a rush rounding the far turn and got to the front in the stretch, but weakened in thefinal drive. DORMIDO closed gamely in the last eighth, and was going good at the end. MOONFACE went to the front soon after the start, set the pace for the first half, then tired. MISS DOUBLET also tired after going well in the early part. RHYTHM GAL ran wide all the way. DAVIDOR trailed the leader for the first half mile, then came with a rush while rounding the stretch turn, getting to the front momentarily, but weakening in the final drive. SHORT PRICE, always close up, got to the front in the stretch, but was no match for the winner. SPECKLE, far back in the early running, closed a big gap while rounding the stretch turn, and was closing very fast in the last eighth mile. SUNNY BANK, steadily improved his position, but could never get to the leaders. RUSSCENES closed some ground in the last furlong. OVERTONE refused to break after acting badly at the post, when she reared back and unseated her rider, injuring him so that another rider had to be substituted.
