t TROPICAL PARK NOTES $ Tropical Park should be filled to capacity for the running of the ,000 Derby Consolation and the attendant program which will close the "Florida racing season today. As the net proceeds of the gate and mutuels will be donated to Dade County charities, the Gables Association has suspended the complimentary passes, announced general manager Frank D. Schuyler. "We have had a successful season and we are eager to share our success with the distressed of the Miami area and the horsemen who have helped us," said William Vin-cent- Dwyer, managing director of the Gables Association. "Knowing the great heart tf the sports colony, I feel confident that they will rally to make our welfare day the biggest of our two meetings." Norman H. Graves, vice-president of the association has been appointed chairman of a committee of prominent Dade County business men which will distribute the welfare fund. Trainer B". S. Michell, has shipped the horses of L. E. Komorous to Chicago from Tropical Park.
