KNIGHTS HOPE, away in the first flight, went into command after the opening eighth, drew into a winning lead and held sway until the end. BABY CHARD went forwardly from the beginning, but was unable to threaten the winner after displacing FULL UP. PAR VALUE, kept under stout urging while holding a forward position, held on gamely in the final issue. DELANO closed strongly-from a poor beginning. SQUEEZE OUT was away very slowly. She closed a good gap. GRAND CHAMPION could not trouble the leaders. FULL UP weakened steadily after a half mile. CASH SURRENDER was held safe. JUST BUCK .was outrun. NEDVIVE, particularly alert when the start came, took command at once, met determined opposition from GLORY GREENOCK, then drew out when shaken up during the final drive. MAERIEL, forced to work his way up on the outside to engage the leaders, closed with a rush after reaching the home stretch. jGLORY GREENOCK dropped back when swinging into the home stretch and barely lasted to outstay SKOTCHY. The latter went strongly for three-eighths, then stopped suddenly in the closing sixteenth. BUSHMASTER was unable to enter into forward contention. The latter went in closest pursuit of the winner from the beginning, challenged gamely when approaching the home stretch, and was wearing the winner down at every stride nearing the finish. STANDOUT bettered his position gradually in the last half mile, but could not threaten the first two. GUIDING LIGHT was gaining slowly in the late stages. EASTERN RULER was under strong pressure in the last half mile. ST. CHRISTOPHER went forwardly, but was unable to engage the leaders. The others were never factors. DARK VIVE, rated close up in the early running, wore the leaders down when reaching the home stretch, and was kept under pressure thereafter. MAPLE QUEEN went close to WANOAH in the early running, responded nicely when shaken up, but could not threaten the winner when nearing the finish. BE MINE savd ground in the early racing, was vigorously ridden r in the last three-eighths, and closed gamely. TRUE CHARM was forced to race on the outside of the leaders throughout and showed a good effort. HYMARQUE finished with good courage. MISS WEBB was squeezed back at the break, then was steered wide to better her position. She lost all chance when making a wide turn into the home stretch. FREDRICK, well up from the beginning, secured racing room on the inside at the stretch turn and fought it out stubbornly. HEADIN HOAiE displayed keen speed while setting the pace, met a strong effort from HANK MacTAVISH entering the stretch and continued stoutly under strong handling. HANK MacTAVISH moved up strongly on the outside at the stretch turn, but hung nearing the finish. ABNER was a stout iactor for the enire trip. He was rushed into the lead when entering the back stretch, stalled off persistent opposition from BRANNON in the first seven furlongs, drew clear when reaching the home stretch, then came out willingly nearing the finish. SUN FAIRPLAY followed close up in the early racing, responded nicely to belter his position, but could not menace the winner when the real test came. BLOODROOT, in tight quarters going to the first turn, worked her way up on the outside after reaching the back stretch, then closed willingly when placed to vigorous punishment. BRANNON forced a steady pace while following MANTAGNA, saved ground all the way, but failed to rally for the final issue. ST. MORITZ was unable to enter a forward position at any stage. HARDWARE was slow to brqak, then had a lot taken out of him to enter the first flight. BEAVER DAM was held safe. DOKAS was never a factor. PARADISICAL was done early.
