he raced to a decisive victory in the thirtyfourth renewal of the Bashford Manor Stakes at Churchill Downs today Racing the five fur ¬ longs in the fast time of 59 just two fifths of a second slower than the track record held by Yankee Notions and Ruddy Light he won by five lengths Shandon Farms Bright Light and Lemont finished second and third respectively a neck apart and well before Sir Gawaine which ac ¬ counted for fourth money Seven others started startedThe The winner owned by C B Shaffer of Chicago was the choice at almost prohibi ¬ tive odds and his victory was worth 3035 to
