NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES There will be no shortage of riders here during the spring meeting Among the first to be granted licenses were Billy Neal present leading rider for 1937 Charlie Stevenson Dixiana pilot Frankie Catrone O Laidley F Ritz L Canf ield M Mitchell W G Jackson Robert Wholey JCempton Knott C Eye A Ross George Napier F Kenney W Leishman and W Gervais GervaisGeorge George Seabo arrived here from New York this morning to ride Mrs Marion Cassidys j fouryearold Bill Farnsworth in the Narra Tansett Handicap HandicapCharlie Charlie Bierman and Jimmy Lynch will arrive here Friday night Bierman will ride for the Seminole Stable which shipped in Friday night nightThe The Ogle brothers L E and D L ar ¬ rived at Narragansett today from Mary ¬ land with fourteen head Ralph Eccard leading rider at Havre de Grace accom ¬ panied them here His book will be handled by Jimmy Smallwobd SmallwobdHorsemen Horsemen here are predicting brilliant futures for the two youngsters which ar ¬ rived to join the jockey colony They are George Napier and F Schieh Napier eighteen years old under contract to Luke Haymaker won his first race on January 11 of this year and has a total of thirty four victories this season His book is being handled by Sonny Greenberg Schieh won the first race he ever rode in at Houston Texas this year He is under contract to Ivan Parke and his engagements will be handled by Monte Parke ParkeStalls Stalls were being bedded down to acom modate five carloads of horses that were due here Friday night The shipments are from New York and Texas Those coming from Jamaica comprise the string of C H Trotter twelve R Mcllvaine twenty J W Melvin two and J Coleman two From Ar ¬ lington Downs G Feltner is bringing nine W C Stroube eleven H H Stable three and J H Brooks eleven
