TRAINER C V THOMPSON THOMPSONPLACED PLACED UNDER SUSPENSION ARLINGTON Texas April 30 The Ar ¬ lington Downs stewards issued the following ruling and recommendations to the state racing morningC commission this morning C V Thompson trainer and horse Al ¬ tena together with all other horses under his care are suspended for the rest of the meeting for the following reasons reasonsThompson Thompson being in an intoxicated and unfit condition in the paddock while sad ¬ dling the horse Altena for the second race on April 27 1937 1937Stimulation Stimulation of the horse Altena which finished ninth in the second race on April 27 1937 morphine being found in saliva sample taken after the finish of said race raceUnwillingness Unwillingness to turn horse Altena over to Dr G W Brock for the taking of saliva test testPermission Permission is granted J H Peyton to appoint another trainer subject to the ap ¬ proval of the Arlington Downs stewards stewardsIt It is recommended to the Texas Racing Commission that C V Thompson trainer be suspended for an additional twelve months and the horse Altena an additional thirty days from May la 1937
