ARLINGTON DOWNS FINEE Fort Worth Spring Handicap Fea ¬ ture of NineEace Program for Last Day of the Meeting ARLINGTON Texas April 30 Arlington Downs brings its season and major Texas spring racing to a close tomorrow with the running of a ninerace program which is topped by the Fort Worth Spring Handicap The handicap takes the place of the stake which was discarded when it failed to fill and carries a 2000 purse purseNine Nine routers representing eight different interests were named for the nine furlongs jourtiey this morning with C A Calhouns Ashen the top weight under 112 pounds Navanod furnished by Clarence Davison and E N Thompsons Miss Ginbar will tote 110 pounds each and then follows Salaam a stablemate of Navanod and Mrs A Wal lins Amazing under 108 pounds each Amaz ¬ ing is a doubtful starter having suffered a slight morningNo mishap when galloping this morning No more pleasant weather could have been provided than that which has prevailed since the opening and the meeting has been more successful than the fall season and the spring session of 1936 Considering that re ¬ ductions were made in the stakes and purse distributions the Texas Jockey Club will reap a good profit
