ARLINGTON FUTURITY AND LASSIE STAKES CLOSE MAY 15 Record nomination lists for two major future events which close Saturday May 15 are expected at Arlington Park ParkThe The futures which close Saturday are the 20000 Arlington Futurity which will carry an estimated gross value of 55000 and the 10000 added Arlington Lassie Stakes with an estimated value of 35000 The former is for twoyearolds and the lat ¬ ter exclusively for fillies of that age The ageThe remaining six stakes will close on Tuesday June 1 They are the 30000 added Classic for threeyearolds the 20000 added Arlington Handicap the 10000 added Stars and Stripes Handicap and the 5000 Arling ¬ ton Inaugural Handicap all for threeyear olds and upward the revived 5000 added Matron Handicap for fillies and mares three years old and upward and the 2500 added Hyde twoyearoldsRoy Park Stakes for twoyearolds Roy Carruthers general manager of Arling ¬ ton Park is in New York to confer with Mr Hertz regarding final plans for the thirtyday meeting Carruthers will leave for Baltimore to witness the running of the Preakness Saturday While in the East he has found interest in Arlingtons expanded stake and purse program running high he reports and indications point to one of the most successful meetings in Arlingtons his ¬ tory
