DIXIANA ENTRY RONS ONETWO Narragansett Park Spectators Make Fisher Entry Odds On Successes of DetroitOwned Stable Continue Lady Infinite and Palatine Among the Days Winners PAWTUCKET R I May 13 The Nar ¬ ragansett public isnt being fooled by the Dixiana horses the most successful here any longer and the Dixiana horses are fool ¬ ing the public very seldom indeed Today that outfit sent forth an entry of Rollin Home and Erin Torch in the Dexter Purse which featured the card The public made I the pair an oddson choice and they ran onetwo The only surprise in the race was that Rollin Home beat his stablemate Most folks rated Erin Torch the more formidable of the wo Black Highbrow a well played second choice in the event finished third marking another high for the favorites which are averaging very close to 50 per cent here hereRollin Rollin Home set his own pace and Erin Torch followed his stablemate all the way That briefly is the story of the race Noth ¬ ing else ever gave the Dixiana entry a serious argument At the end Rollin Home was half a length clear of the runnerup and Erin Torch was half a length clear of Black Highbrow HighbrowHIGHPOOL HIGHPOOL QUITS QUITSRollin Rollin Home showed the way down the back stretch by a length and a half followed by his stablemate Highpool made one brief bid but quit at the fiveeighths post Black Highbrow moved from fourth to third place at the leaders in the final eighth but simply was not good enough There were three horses other than those mentioned in the affair but they might as well have remained in their barns unless they needed exercise exerciseEddie Eddie Smith rode the winner and Charley Stevenson was up on the runnerup The time was 111 flat and might have been faster had the Dixiana horses been really pressed pressedIt It was cloudy in the early afternoon but brightened up later The track was fast fastAdmiral Admiral Gary T Graysons Aero set all her own pace to win the six furlongs first event but barely lasted to take the decision by a nose over Willis Sharpe Kilmers Teddy Beau Mrs J Maibens Swivel Neck was third two lengths back of the runnerup and a nose in front of Orphan Lass George Seabo on the winner clearly outrode P A Smith on the runnerup and that weighed the scales of victory victoryTWO TWO IN A BOW BOWMerle Merle Simmons Laddie Stone made it two in a row at this point as he scored a front running victory in the second another six furlongs race At the end Jackie Richard I was driving hard to land his mount home by a neck over Miss Anita Doris Die Hard E A Reillys Dedication finished third just a nose in advance of Glynna They finished out in 112 flat flatThe The race was marred by the fact that Jester B wheeled at the start The horse was barred here last year for doing the same thing thingCharley Charley Phelans Palatine which has been knocking at the door in his last two starts was victorious in the days first distance race the mile and a sixteenth third event Biermandid an excellent job of rating Pala ¬ tine along in front and rode him out smartly in the stretch to score by a length over Phil Biebers Gallant Pat The latter had no opposition for the place finishing three lengths in front of the improved Bay Sister Pass Shot was fourth in the field of ten tenJack Jack Whytes Lady Infinite graduated from the maiden division in the four fur ¬ longs event for juvenile fillies that was fourth on the program She passed the judges stand a length in the van of Araho Stables Araho Lass after setting virtually all her own pace Soda Time heavy favor ¬ ite was third three lengths back of the run ¬ nerup
