McCLINTOCK TO MAKE MAKEDEBUT DEBUT ON WEST COAST VANCOUVER Wash May 13 The man who made Billy Neal current leader of Americas saddle artists is coming to Co ¬ lumbia Downs with a boy he claims is a greater saddle prospect than the hustling baby of the noted Neal family of Montana This time Charlie Brown Jr brings to Washington and the Portland area a young ¬ ster by the name of Bert McClintock one that has been galloping horses for more morelan lan a year Almost eighteen months ago while Charlie Brown was just unloading his stable at Santa Anita Park a bright cleancut young man of fifteen years presented him ¬ self and asked to be given a chance to learn to ride thoroughbred horses The boy gave Hollywood as his home After a weeks trial Charlie Brown realized that in young McClintock he had a lad of exceptional promise A contract was immediately ar ¬ ranged and signed Now more than a year after his educational period in fundamentals Bert McClintock is ready for the saddle Brown is thinking of sending McClintock postward before leaving Bay Meadows where his horses are in action
