L H BEEZLEYS WINTER PLANS Reserves Stable Boom at Caliente and Santa Anita Courses Plan to Divide Biff Stable With Eight EightHorses Horses Going to Track In Ix wer werCalifornia California SAN MATED Calif Oct 25 Earl H Beezley the Miracle Man of the western turf was among the first of the leading trainers to apply for stall room at the Caliente race track which opens Thanks ¬ giving Day itwas announced here today by racing secretary Joe Walters WaltersWith With fiftytwo winners to his credit so far this year Beezley is the tenth ranking trainer on the American turf He has twenty head in active training at Bay Meadows The former Nebraska turfman has requested eight stalls plans to divide his string for winter racing between Caliente and Santa Anita While he has not as yet made the selection from his stable of horses he will send to Caliente Beezley said they would be of the better grade He hasnt a horse In his barn anyway that is not a winner winnerBeezleys Beezleys horses will be coupled with those of his close friend Frank Childs The latter has requested stable room for five head will ship them to the border from Bay Meadows within the next three weeks The Childs stable includes Bon Hamburg a 2500 claiming horse able to go any distance from a mile to a mile and a half Was a winner at Hollywood Park during the summer Miss Chase a fleet but as yet thoroughly untried threeyearold Crete oldtime handicap horse and frequent winner at Santa Anita of distance grinds up to two miles and races in 2500 claiming company Mannie a 1250 sprint horse and also able to go successfully up to and including a mile and a sixteenth Renege a 2000 claimer which scored at Hollywood Park and also raced successfully at Del Mar during the summer summerDuring During the winter months Beezley will send his ace apprentice rider Burt Reynolds down to the border every Sunday to pilot his starters startersSecuring Securing of the BeezleyChilds stable was regarded as a tenstrike for racingsecretary Joe Walters who is busy at Bay Meadows these days passing out stable application blanks to the horsemen concentrated in this area The Beezley silks are highly popular with race fans throughout the West because every Beezley horse always tries his best
