RTJSS-JAP RELATIONS STRAINED TOKYO, Japan, Dec. 10. Japans foreign office spokesman said today that Russo-Japanese relations are becoming increasingly tense, owing to a dispute over the valuable Saghalien oil fields. The spokesman claimed local Soviet authorities deported fifty-five Japanese from the oil fields and were attempting to expel another sixty-seven, thus "endangering the existence" of the oil fields. Japan, he added, is lodging a vigorous "protest with Moscow.
