AIR TRAVELS NEW RECORD WASHINGTON, D. C, Dec. 10. Passenger , travel on the nations air lines in October j set a new all-time record, the civil aeronautics authority reported today. The total number of revenue passengers carried during the month was 131,689, which was an increase of 3,600 over September and 32,000 more than the passenger volume of October, 1937. A new record of 56,828,286 miles also was set for the total number of passenger miles flown. Normally, October brings a seasonal slump in air travel.
