DRASTIC CUT IN DATES LOS ANGELES Calif July 24 The Cali ¬ fornia Horse Racing Board has gone on rec ¬ ord as favoring a somewhat drastic cut in the number of racing days for next year Also the commission feels that any two tracks in a community should share alike in the assignment of the choicest racing dates Furthermore that after its original invest ¬ ment has been returned profits beyond a reasonable limit should go back to the state stateThese These were the fundamental points cov ¬ ered in a statement issued here today by Edward R Young chairman of the racing board in reply to the barrage of statements in approval and disapproval from others vitally interested in the apportionment of racing days and dates which followed the resignation of two members of the board last Saturday Chairman Youngs statement was in effect one of policy As he is remain ¬ ing on the board it being a foregone con ¬ clusion that the resignation of Messrs Park and Russell will be accepted it seems prob ¬ able that this announced policy will rule the future actions of the supervisorial body
