Long Post Parades Out During Suffolk Meet MeetBOSTON BOSTON Mass May 7 It has long been the contention of most racing officials and a majority of the public that long post parades at horse tracks are detrimental to the best interest of racing In ah effort to correct this situation the State Racing Commission an ¬ nounced today the adoption of a new rule covering post parades This new rule reads as follows 153A The elapsed time of the post parade starting when the lead pony enters the track from the pad ¬ dock and ending when the first horse enters the starting gate shall not exceed nine 9 minutes at a mile track and seven 7 minutes at a halfmile track trackUp Up to the present there has been no rule limiting post parades to a specified tune This rule will be ef fective with the opening of the Suf ¬ folk Downs meeting on Monday May 10
